The biggest favor you can do to yourself and your dog is to start a basic training program.
It doesn’t have to be anything too demanding, it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or money and it can be done at home.
All it requires is your commitment.
Too many dogs, left neglected, become a nuisance or a danger and have to be destroyed every year.
Avoid this terrible fate for your pet, engage in an activity which can be fun and rewarding for you and your dog and you’ll be able to enjoy his pleasant companionship for years to come.
If men come from Mars, women from Venus, dogs come from altogether another planet. They speak a different language from humans but are so receptive that they quickly learn our body language and many words. It is our duty to make clear what we ask from them to make our living together possible and enjoyable.
Dog training is a bridge of understanding between two species, sometimes it miraculously happens but sometimes it has to be consciously established. The rewards are so great that is worth a little effort from our part.
Sighthounds are not the most obedient class of dogs. They are occasionally accused of being stupid and spiteful but this is simply not true: they were bred over the centuries to hunt independently and they retain an attitude of free thinkers.
Like any other dog they can be trained but they require positive dog training techniques and your patience.
The good news is that whippets are the most obedient and willing to please of the sighthound family.
It won’t be difficult to establish the basic rules and it will be fun to teach your whippet and learn from him.
Whippets are clever and whimsical and sometimes they will outsmart you in unexpected ways, this is part of the charm of living with such a beautiful and smart dog.
Whippet training can be a therapy for the trainer, it will teach you patience, self control and observation skills, be ready for surprises and have fun!

When you decide to keep your DVD collection organized by using movie organizer software, there are some questions you should ask yourself before deciding which program to buy.
How Much do I want to Spend?
You can download free software to make lists and keep track of any number of things, so you don’t have to spend any money at all. but as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Free movie organizer software is probably designed to organize a collection generically-you can use it to list books, for instance, or a bottle cap collection. It’s just a database that’s started for you-you fill in the rest.
You can probably even find free or very cheap movie organizer software, designed for a movie collection. but it’s still going to be little more than a preset database just for movies. You can do that with any office software yourself. and it’s going to take a long time to enter even an average-sized collection. You’ll want to stick with titles only to keep it from becoming a time-eating project.
Now consider how much money you have invested in your movie collection, and how much you enjoy it. also consider how it’s worth finding an affordable but full-featured movie organizer program that you’ll have fun using, enters movie information for you quickly and easily, and looks like an online catalog of movies, complete with DVD cover images. The convenience alone makes this type of software worth the price, but the fun factor makes it the type of movie organizer software no movie lover should be without.
How Much Time do I have?
If money isn’t the make-or-break factor in choosing movie organizer software, then convenience should be. How many movies do you have? How long will it take you to enter just the titles into simple database software, or a database of your own making? Are you really going to want to enter all the information you’d probably like to have at your fingertips?
How much better would it be if the movie organizer software did all that for you, with a few clicks? How much time can you save? choose full-featured software so you can spend less time organizing the database, and more time watching your movies!
Who Makes the Software?
While some people naturally find the biggest software manufacturer and choose their products without much thought, or they search online and find whatever looks okay to them, you’d be wise to consider the software company that makes the movie organizer software. huge corporations can’t compete with smaller companies when it comes to personal customer service. Is the software updated often? Are there forums so you can interact with other customers? choose movie organizer software with all the features you want from a company that supports its products and cares about its customers, then if you do encounter a problem, you know you can find the help you need.

Press Release Source: Digicel on Thursday July 15, 2010, 12:55 pm EDT
SUVA, FIJI–(Marketwire – 07/15/10) – Digicel Fiji today announced details of the new “Digicel Mobile Money” service, which offers the people of Fiji a range of mobile financial capabilities including the ability to transfer money to friends and family nationwide, top up mobile phones and pay Digicel postpaid bills.
The innovative service, offered in partnership with Post Fiji and — in the coming weeks –Westpac, will see Digicel phones become electronic wallets offering customers a convenient and secure way to transfer money to any mobile phone in Fiji, pay Digicel postpaid bills, top-up and deposit or withdraw cash from their electronic wallets. the number of outlets is set to reach 100 in the coming weeks, covering every corner of Fiji through Digicel, Post Fiji and Westpac’s national network. Registration is free and can be completed by dialing *888#.
Fiji is the first of Digicel’s six Pacific markets to make this service available and Digicel plans to roll-out Digicel Mobile Money across all Digicel Pacific markets facilitating international Mobile Money transfers among Pacific Islanders for the first time.
The project, in development for over ten months, is regulated by the Reserve Bank of Fiji and supported by the United Nations Development Programme’s Pacific Financial Inclusion Fund (PFIP) and the GSM Association (GSMA) with a view to promoting financial inclusion within Fiji and the Pacific Islands. Digicel Mobile Money aims to assist in addressing the needs of the 70% of Fijians who do not have access to basic financial services.
Digicel has completed a comprehensive series of trials, monitored by the Reserve Bank, which included real-time testing by customers of secure international and national Mobile Money transfers, cash-in and out transactions, bill payments and salary payments to mobiles.
Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Sada Reddy, said; “The Reserve Bank has been working closely with Digicel for over ten months to advise on and encourage this innovative service. the Reserve Bank supports rural outreach and is delighted to see Digicel Mobile Money being made available to the people of Fiji.”
Customers can register for Digicel Mobile Money for free by dialing *888#. Every new number registered for Digicel Mobile Money will receive FJ$1 free money on the mobile wallet when carrying out their first transaction, and will also be entered into a draw to win FJ$1,000.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Matt Davey, said; “The launch of Digicel Mobile Money offers a secure and convenient way of transferring and handling money and is set to have a huge impact on the lives of our customers in Fiji and across the Pacific. as the Pacific’s fastest growing telecoms provider, Digicel is uniquely positioned to roll this service out across the Pacific.”
Mr. Davey added; “Customers can join for free and our message is simple: give Digicel Mobile Money a try and you will be amazed at how it can make your life easier.”
Digicel Pacific Mobile Money Director, Stephen Breen, said; “Digicel Mobile Money will transform the way our customers receive, handle, transfer money and pay bills. Digicel’s partnership with Post Fiji and Westpac means we can provide simple, accessible financial transactions to the thousands of Fijians throughout the country who do not have access to basic financial services. we are very grateful to the Reserve Bank of Fiji, the United Nations Development Programme and the GSMA for their support and assistance in the development of this project and we can, together, look forward to the positive impact of Digicel Mobile Money on communities in Fiji.”
Tillman Bruett, Technical Advisor of the United Nations Development Programme’s PFIP, said; “This project is a very important step in bringing access to safe and affordable financial services to the estimated 70% of Pacific islanders that are unbanked. the majority of low income households in the Pacific need an affordable and safe means to store and move money. we are supporting a number of initiatives in the region and are happy to be working with Digicel in Fiji and elsewhere to meet this need.”
PFIP has received funding support through the Australian Aid Program to assist Digicel with the introduction of the Mobile-Wallet technology in Fiji, which is considered a key innovation for broadening access to financial services for the most remote and rural communities in the country.

Rocky Lockridge was a great fighter, and Champion. Its a very sad thing when such a Great Champion falls by the wayside like Rocky has. he had a good trainer in Lou Duva, who I beleive was there when Rocky won his World Titles. Rocky had the same problem alot of champions suffer from and thats to much to quick as far as money was concerned, and what bothers me is that his Trainer and Manager never tried to help him cope with his newly gained fame and money, and how to invest it in his future and how to stay away from all the friends that money can buy. As a Boxing Trainer and Gym Owner myself, I never could understand why alot of management teams really don’t give a damn about the guy whos in there fighting his heart out month after month, year after year. Its all a money game to alot of teams out there. Myself, I have a very close relationship with the fighters I work with. Win, Lose, or Draw club fighter or World Champion, I’m behind them 1000 %. When I was a fighter in the 70s, I fought in alot of dives down in the border cities of Mexico, making peanuts. and when I finally obtained a few large paydays I know how I felt. I thought I was above the law, nobody can tell me what to do. Well guess what, one day my trainer told me that I needed to retire, that I was slowing down, and getting hit to much. I was never knocked out or off my feet, but still taking to many hard shots and it was showing. and then I couldn’t pass a physical to fight., and it was over. just that quick… Over. I ran through all my money in two years, and ended up losing my house, both cars, everything. so, I know first hand what Rocky Lockridge has gone through. But, I had people that beleived in me. My Trainer Les Gretch found me and picked me up and got me back on my feet. and now the rest is history. Rocky, if you read this get ahold of me brother. I’ll pick you up and help you get back on your feet.
