¿¿Reparative Therapy of Male Homosexuality,
by Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D.??
The homosexual not born, they become as they grow up.
Homosexuality is acquired by the desire to possess what you see in the other and that you lack.
Here a Book Excerpt about male homosexuality
In the psychoanalytic literature, homosexuality has long explained as an attempt to "fix" a deficit of male identity. This theory is not new. in fact, has a long tradition in the psychoanalytic literature. while not all homosexuality can be explained simply as a reparative motivation, for most gay men is a significant motivation. When he meets another gay man is what he himself would be, tends to idealize and romanticize the relationship.
Another writer, Kaplan (1967) saw homosexuality as often rooted in dissatisfaction with own image.
Notes like:
It seems evident that some homosexuals, choose as sexual objects, people who have characteristics -physical, personal, or both- of which they themselves have a deficit… dissatisfaction with the self, the way one is … measure against internal standards of how one would like be … may be one of the largest roots of some homosexual feelings and behaviors.
Kaplan continues:
Often the homosexual, seeks that quality, he feels he lacks himself, but he sees in others. therefore, the union gives you, at least momentarily, a sense that now is complete or through identification with the other, that has the same quality.
Kaplan estimates that "the combination of the need for a model, a personal sense of inadequacy and an undifferentiated sexual motivation but powerful" can result in homosexuality. describe the following model:
The person is dissatisfied in any way with the image itself. he see models are closer to their ego ideal , and engages in sexual intercourse … The models are chosen as objects of identification and sense of identification or fantasy is increased, and significantly satisfied in sexual intercourse. in a sense, the homosexual has much in common with the narcissist, who has an affair with himself. The homosexual, however, is unable to love himself … instead he loves his ego ideal (p. 358).
ITripp (1975) defined homosexual behavior as an attempt to "import" admired or desired qualities of the person of the same sex as you are attracted. Gottlieb (1977) also found examples of this motivation gay reparative customers:
Customer: Well, I think is a really original idea but physical contact with someone makes you feel more powerful, more attractive, more focused. There is a tendency to feed your narcissism … I think the attraction to another person … it becomes part of you and strengthens it (p. 39).

Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin once noted that “nunneries in the old days were veritable storehouses of the most delectable tidbits.” Perhaps that is why the much-maligned Lucrezia Borgia is said to have truly felt at home only in the company of pious cloistered nuns. In his landmark study, “Holy Anorexia”, Rudolph Bell focused his attention on holy women who survived on nothing but the eucharistic wafer. Cristina Mazzoni, taking the opposite tack, savors the food writings and images of a broad s

When you entertain the duke and duchess, the ambassador and his wife, who expect all of the finer things properly prepared and served, money poses no object. you instruct your chef to secure the finest fresh ingredients at the market prices, and you focus your attention on the quality of their preparation and presentation. Acknowledging that 90% of a dish’s appeal-its flavour and fragrance-originate in its aesthetic appeal, you especially will focus your chef’s best efforts on presentation. you will demand his finest knife work, and you will expect demonstrations of his skill with the pastry bag and all the sophisticated tools of his art. Most importantly, because the foods are rich and filling yet you wish to serve an ample array of delicacies, you will instruct your chef to exercise great discretion in portion sizes. Some of the most delectable dishes on your menu require barely more than a taste to satisfy the guests’ desire for variety.
When you entertain visiting royalty of all descriptions, you must serve the ultimate in luxury food. your menu inevitably must include…
Exotic appetizers-Luxury food quickens your guests’ appetites. you may choose caviar; Russian Beluga caviar is generally considered the best. except that Russian caviar comes with a caveat: because it comes from whales, Nature-loving guests may object to the fact that your menu has required mistreatment of animals. you may substitute a fine goose liver pate. the more exotic the goose, the finer the pate; but you can spoil a wonderful goose liver if you fail to pay attention to texture and temperature in the preparation and service, and, please, by all means serve your pate on fine toast points, because crackers just will not do.
“Big” entrees- Luxury food satisfies your guests’ hunger. although lamb and veal provide tender and flavorful alternatives to your usual heavy fare, they, too, conjure images of young animals treated inhumanely. they may offend your guests’ delicate sensibilities. try a mixed grill of gamier meats: Bison ranchers now offer exquisitely aged steaks and roasts, and venison blends well with rich fruity sauces. A wild goose complements the red meats nicely, or nicely stuffed pheasants may prove palette pleasing.
Exquisite side dishes- Luxury food engages your guests’ palettes. Asparagus tips in a buttery sauce always go well with hearty entrees, but if they seem far too conventional for your table, consider this season’s taste sensations-ice creams and sorbets. the world’s premier chefs have perfected their techniques for presenting every imaginable flavour in ice cream or sorbet form. Choose any combination of fresh garden vegetables served en sorbet, or ask the chef to prepare an delicate melange of fresh fruits and vegetables in cool, refreshing ice cream.
Salacious desserts– Luxury food satisfies your guests’ cravings for sweets. Because of their textures, flavours, and extravagant presentations, several old favourites are enjoying a reprise. Thrill your guests with flaming cherries jubilee or a spectacular baked Alaska. and do not forget carefully chosen sherries and ports to accompany your after-dinner cigars.

When people hear the word “lust,” they often automatically think of sexual sin. Lust, however, actually encompasses much more than sexual perversion. It includes any area of your life that is controlled by a desire that you can’t seem to quench. Eating is definitely an area where people allow their appetites to control them. This lack of control is especially evident in the United States. Obesity, high blood pressure and other serious health challenges are rampant among many men and women because they don’t have any control where their eating is concerned. Eating without restraint is just as bad as indulging in sexual sin. God looks at both as dangerous forms of abusing your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. when you don’t understand the purpose for something, abuse is inevitable. for example, if you were to attempt to use a car like you would a boat, your car would become ruined. That’s because the manufacturer didn’t create it to be used in water. In essence, you are abusing your car. The same is true for your body. While God created food for nourishment and eating to be a pleasurable experience, it was not meant to be abused. Overeating and refusing to use restraint in the type and quantity of foods you eat is gluttony, and it is sin (Proverbs 23:21). First Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? for ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” whether you are talking about sex or food, when you sin against your body in any way, you are abusing your temple. Lacking restraint in eating is an easy area in which to become neglectful. People use food to deal with all kinds of issues, including depression and emotional despair. Besides emotional eating, some people simply overeat because they have made a habit of it. Their flesh is trained to eat more than they need to sustain them, rather than eating just what their bodies need for nourishment. The key to overcoming gluttony is to renew your mind with the understanding that God desires for you to have complete mastery over your appetite for food. The Apostle Paul got hold of what was necessary to get the upper hand over his body when he said:
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” (1 Corinthians 9:25-27).
You simply have to discipline yourself in this area. First, you’ll have to renew your mind (Romans 12:1-2) by looking at food differently. Rather than eating because you’re bored or depressed or as something you mindlessly do while watching TV, begin to look at your body as a machine that needs the proper fuel to function properly. Think of eating like filling your car’s gas tank. Naturally, the best type of gas is “premium.” It keeps your vehicle running in optimum condition and is best for your engine. In addition, you may have seen the signs that say, “Don’t Top off.” To fill your gas tank beyond the limit is asking for trouble. You should fill it up with the best fuel and then stop when the tank is full. This is the same way you should look at eating. Consume the highest quality of foods to maintain your health, and eat what you need to keep your body running, without overdoing it. if you want to control your flesh rather than allowing it to control you, you will need to make a quality decision. You’ll have to set your mind on restraining your appetite for food. In addition, you’ll need to come up with an eating plan to establish personal guidelines and boundaries as well as incorporate moderate exercise into your lifestyle. by adopting a healthy lifestyle, you’ll start to view food differently, and you’ll begin to eat to live, rather than living to eat. Proverbs 25:28 (The Amplified Bible) says, “He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.” when you can’t control your will where your appetite is concerned, your body will eventually break down. get control over your appetite by renewing your mind and exercising self-control and restraint. Though it may be hard at first, your body will thank you for it later!

ATLANTA (AP/WRCB) – the athletic director for the University of Georgia is apologizing after he was arrested for drunken driving.
Athletic director Damon Evans said Thursday that he failed miserably in being a leader and representing the university well and has put a black cloud over the school's athletic department.
University of Georgia President Michael Adams released a statement following Evans' meeting with the media, promising a “full review” when he returns from vacation.
“I made a serious mistake and I'm not taking that lightly, nor is the president of this university,” said Evans, who added he's not planning to resign. “My desire is to keep my job, but at the same time, I respect whatever comes my way.”
A state trooper pulled Evans over late Wednesday night for driving erratically. Police said Evans smelled of alcohol and was given a field sobriety test. he was taken to Atlanta's city jail on charges of DUI and failure to maintain a lane.
The trooper also arrested 28-year-old Courtney Fuhrmann, a passenger in Evans' car. She was charged with disorderly conduct.
Evans was arrested the day before his new, five-year contract with the university began. he has publicly campaigned against drunken driving.
The former UGA football player became one of the youngest AD's in the country when he took over for Georgia legend Vince Dooley in 2004.
